This difference in the hospital numbers is everyday. State says a lower number and we show about double. Either way, the numbers have been declining for months (both hospital and ICU) and I don’t see any capacity concerns. Time to move to the next stage in reopening.
County/Alsop deserve an A. Appropriately pushing back, suggesting better approaches, etc but I think they should go a step further this time and demand inclusion of those tests. That’s no small figure and we should be closer to reopening. It’s time.
This policy isn’t to keep Kern locked up, it’s to open Kern. The only way to hit the near impossible moving goals is to test healthy people in mass. The county supervisors realize this and those of us in favor of opening should be encouraging healthy people to test daily. Ridiculous it’s …
