Justin Davis hit a 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left to lift Cal State Bakersfield to a 64-62 victory over Idaho in the semifinals of the Great Alaska Shootout on Friday night in Anchorage, Alaska.

CSUB faces Central Michigan today at 9 p.m. in the championship game.

The Roadrunners (4-2) trailed 44-32 in the second half before going on a 17-0 run for a 49-44 lead.

The Vandals battled back and took a 62-61 lead on a 3-pointer by Victor Sanders with 1:04 left.

The two teams then traded misses — a layup by CSUB, a jumper by Idaho, a free throw by CSUB’s Moataz Aly and a free throw by Sanders with seven seconds left.

The Runners called time out, setting the stage for Davis’ winning shot.

Rickey Holden led CSUB with 15 points. Aly had 14 and Davis finished with nine.

Sanders and Perrion Callandret led the Vandals with 18 each.
