Jagger Jones has started to distance himself from the field as Late Model drivers head into double feature races on Saturday night at Kern County Raceway.
A few weeks ago Jones and Brandon Weaver were running neck-and-neck for the championship in what was shaping up to be a two-driver battle. But Weaver missed the last two races and Jones now has a 44-point advantage over Zackary St. Onge.
Five different drivers have wins this year with Jones, Lawless Allen and Derek Thorn holding two apiece. Weaver and Trevor Huddleston each have one win.

Josh Ayers is atop the Legends standings while Kercie Jung leads the Bandolero division.
