Leading the way with six individual champions, Golden Valley boys wrestling won a sixth consecutive South Yosemite League title on Wednesday at East High.

Golden Valley edged out Ridgeview by one team point, 255-254, for the team title.

The individual champions for Golden Valley were: Xavier Martinez (113 pounds), Jayven Rojas (120), Everardo Rueda (126), Dominic Leon (132), Ernesto Machado (138) and Fernando Medina (220).

Ridgeview had five individual champions in Rudy Guerrero (145), Albert Urias (160), John Bordon (182), Valentin Sanchez (195) and Jacob Zavala (285).

Independence finished third with 160 team points and two champions — Vincent Carrillo took home gold at 106 and Aldo Cisneros won the 152 title.

East junior Ricardo Eaton won the 170 title.

The South Sequoia League tournament will be held at McFarland High on Thursday while Frontier will host the Southwest Yosemite League tournament on Thursday. The Southeast Yosemite League championshipship is Friday at North.
