Cal State Bakersfield senior Jazmynne Bartee (No. 32) leads the cheers from the Roadrunners bench.

Former Cal State Bakersfield women's basketball center Jazmyne Bartee has signed to play for Dozy BV Den Helder, a professional women's basketball team based in Holland.

"I've had a passport for about five years now, but have never used it," Bartee said in a release. "To get on a plane and to actually be inside of another country and experiencing their culture — it's going to be pretty awesome."

Bartee transferred to CSUB after two years at Nevada-Las Vegas and played two seasons with the Roadrunners. She made the Western Athletic Conference's All-Defensive Team both years at CSUB. She broke the school Division I record for blocks in a single season (74) and a career (132).

CSUB head coach Greg McCall has had five former players go on to play professionally.

"Jaz is my fifth player awarded the opportunity to play ball professionally," McCall said in the release. "This is part of the Roadrunner culture we talk about within our program – playing at the next level."
