No. 6 Bakersfield College volleyball (18-5, 6-1) came back from a two-set deficit to beat No. 3 College of the Canyons (20-5, 7-1) on the road Wednesday, putting the Renegades in control of their postseason destiny.

BC won the match 23-25, 16-25, 25-22, 25-22, 16-14. It marked the Cougars' first loss in conference play.

The win also sets the stage for a co-conference championship this Friday night, when the Renegades host unranked West LA College at 6 p.m. in the Gil Bishop Sports Center. It will be BC's final conference match of the season.

It gives the Renegades the chance to pick up back-to-back conference titles, and clinch their second straight title in as many seasons in front of their home crowd.

BC beat West LA soundly two weeks ago to give Carl Ferreira his 400th career win as a collegiate head coach.
