I applaud Kevin McCarthy's "Yes" vote in the "How they voted" box on March 31 on the attachment to HR7 last week. The attachment would limit lawyers' contingency fees. But I really would like to hear a reason for his "No" vote on the entire bill. This was a bill to reduce, if not eliminate, wage discrimination against women. Did he hope that this attachment would generate more "No" votes against the primary bill? Is he really for the status quo?
