Bradley, 4, and Johnny Bellim, 8, of Vacaville enjoy a slurpee-type refreshment at the PRCA Stampede Days Rodeo at the Kern County Fairgrounds in 2012.

Check out the rodeo: See all the thrills, excitement and pure fun at the PRCA Rodeo. It features everything from an opening ceremony, timed events, contract acts and rough stock rides. Fair admission is not included with rodeo tickets.

See a traditional dance: Broaden your world view by checking out the Ameyactzin Youhuani Aztec Dance from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Villa Festiva Stage. The Aztecs were a Mesoamerican culture in central Mexico from 1300 to 1521, and this show gives audiences a chance to see their traditional dance.

Hear some talented voices: A cappella groups use their voices, no instruments, to perform audiences' favorites songs. Melodious Mix will show it doesn't need any instruments to bring listeners on their feet and have them sing along.

Ride around in a berry: Who says strawberries are just for eating? Four "berries" spin around slowly in the Berry Go Round, making it suitable for children and their parents.

Treat yourself to pretzels: If fair-goers want a taste of Germany, look no further than PHD & Me. The stand has various kinds of pretzels, such as a standard fresh pretzel and pizza pretzel, and they can be topped with salt, cinnamon and sugar, Parmesan cheese and almond toffee.
