When Navy veteran, motorcycle enthusiast and barbershop singer David Fletcher died following a New Year's Eve traffic collision, the 73-year-old's passing shook many in the Bakersfield community.

Now many of those in mourning will have a chance to come together to celebrate his life.

Services for "Fletch," as many of his friends knew him, will be held at 2 p.m. Jan. 21 at Bakersfield National Cemetery east of Bakersfield. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 26 at 2020 H St. in downtown Bakersfield.
