More than 100K votes still uncounted

A county election worker loads ballots into counting machines in the tabulation room at the Kern County Elections Office.

Kern County has an estimated 106,683 unprocessed ballots still to be processed from Tuesday's General Election, according to Mary Bedard, Kern County clerk and registrar of voters.

Bedard said the county continues to process the ballots, which includes 1,972 provisional ballots, 554 conditional voter registration provisional ballots and another hundred listed as “damaged, need to be remade or require further review.”
