The Kern County Public Health Services Department reported another death and 52 new local coronavirus cases Tuesday morning. 

There have now been 39 deaths from COVID-19 and 2,376 county residents who have tested positive for the virus since March 17. The department said 10 county nonresidents have tested positive while visiting Kern.

A total of 29,152 tests have been done in Kern. Of those, 25,876 have come back negative and the results of 890 are pending.
