The westbound Truxtun Avenue on-ramp to the Westside Parkway will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. starting Monday through Sept. 14 while falsework is set above and adjacent to the ramp.

Westbound motorists will need to enter the parkway from Mohawk Street during the closures.

The closures are not expected to impact eastbound Westside Parkway or Truxtun Avenue traffic.

The on-ramp should be open each day in time for morning commutes.

Construction may be postponed or rescheduled without notice.

The construction is part of the Kern River Bridge Improvements project, which is the first phase of the Centennial Corridor project.

Highway 99 will be closed to all traffic on Sunday morning near the Belle Terrace overcrossing.

According to the city, the highway will be closed between 1 and 6 a.m. to allow for utility lines to be placed across the freeway as part of the Belle Terrace Operational Improvements program, part of work on the Centennial Corridor project.

The overcrossing as well as both directions of Wible Road will also be closed, the city said.

Signage will be placed on the freeway that will detour northbound motorists to the Ming Avenue exit. They will then head east to H street, get on the northbound HIghway 58 and then take the northbound 99 exit.

Southbound travelers will take Highway 58 to H Street, head south to White Lane and then return to the 99.
