In God We Trust America, Inc. postponed its program to celebrate the 65th year of America’s national motto.

The event was originally planned for Friday at the Bakersfield Marriott Hotel Convention Center. Pat Boone, singer and television host, was set to speak.

Former Bakersfield City Councilwoman Jacquie Sullivan, founder of the nonprofit, said low ticket sales and distractions, such as the recall, prompted the postponement to an undetermined date.
