Several Highway 99 lanes, the Ming Avenue entrance and two Highway 58 off-ramps will be closed next week, the Thomas Roads Improvement Program and Caltrans announced in press releases Friday.
Caltrans will close the northbound 99 on-ramp at Ming Avenue from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday and Wednesday.
TRIP plans to close the two outside Highway 99 lanes in either direction periodically between Ming Avenue and Wilson Road from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
TRIP said it is closing the lanes at night to let the Beltway Operational Improvement Project contractor replace traffic control devices and install a new electrical conduit for lighting and signage.
The Beltway project is meant to improve traffic along Highway 99, adding a lane in either direction, and improve the 99's interchange to Highway 58.
Highway 58 drivers heading east or west will be unable to use the Chester Avenue off-ramps Tuesday.
Chester Avenue-bound traffic will have to exit at Union Avenue and use Brundage Lane to access the avenue, the release said.
TRIP apologized for any inconvenience the work and closures might cause for those traveling.
