Local educator and administrator Joshua Porter announced that he is running to be a trustee on the Rosedale Union School District board.
Porter has classroom experience: he began teaching at Emerson Middle School and later became a school site and district administrator, according to a news release. Porter is also the father of three students who are attending school in the district.
He names as his top priorities equity, excellence, opportunity and health and safety.
"The health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority as we look towards returning to the classroom," Porter said, in a statement.
