Dedication date set for WWII Veterans Memorial at Jastro Park

A Dec. 10 dedication ceremony has been scheduled for the Kern County WWII Veterans Memorial under construction at Jastro Park since June.

The 10 a.m. event at 2900 Truxtun Ave. will be open to the public. Veterans of the war will be given the best seats and special recognition. Organizers ask that these veterans or their family members call ahead and RSVP to Wendy Ward at 661-619-3070.
