Two people were killed early Thursday in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 5, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 12:35 a.m., dispatchers began receiving calls regarding a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound traffic lanes of I-5. Shortly after CHP officers were dispatched, a call came in that the wrong-way driver collided head-on with another vehicle south of Lerdo Highway.
Both drivers were killed, the CHP reported. Their names have not yet been released.
The wrong-way driver was identified as 41-year-old Ryann Oneal Mullen of Wasco, and the other driver as 20-year-old Marc David Austin Guerreva, according to the coroner's office.
