Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man whose body was found inside a burning vehicle in south Bakersfield last week.

Seantazz Thomason, 22, Derrick Sutton, 33, and Gerell Hasley, 34, conspired to kidnap and rob 37-year-old Moises Leon and shot and killed him during the incident, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

Thomason and Sutton were taken into custody in the 3900 block of Q Street, police said, and Hasley was arrested at a motel in the 1300 block of Easton Drive.

All three face charges including murder, torture and kidnapping.

Leon's body was found after firefighters doused a burning vehicle in the 800 block of Karma Court early July 27.
