A man was injured in a shooting on Saturday near downtown Bakersfield.

The Bakersfield Police Department said that at around 3 a.m, they received a report that there was a shooting in the 1000 block of 40th Street. When officers arrived, they found a man who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No suspects have been arrested in the case.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the police at 327-7111.
