On Aug. 30, Trayvale Gentry-Carlson and Deshaun Nicholson entered the Metro PCS store on Chester Avenue and at least one of them pulled a gun as they tried robbing the business, police say.

A security guard fired at the men, striking 28-year-old Gentry-Carslon. He died from his wounds Saturday.

On Sunday, Nicholson, who fled the scene of the robbery before police arrived but was in custody for an unrelated incident, was identified as the second suspect and arrested on suspicion of murder, robbery and gang participation, according to police.
