A 3.2-magnitude earthquake was reported near Oildale early Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The earthquake happened at 4:56 a.m. about a mile northeast of Oildale, USGS reports.

USGS classified the Wednesday earthquake as a level three on the Modified Mercalli intensity scale, in which there is no damage and the shaking is described as “weak.”
