A DUI checkpoint has been scheduled by the Bakersfield Police Department’s Traffic Section for Saturday, Dec. 16 in Bakersfield.

Police said the checkpoint will be held at an undisclosed location within city limits from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Drivers caught driving impaired can expect the impact of a DUI arrest to include jail time, fines, fees, DUI classes, and other expenses that could exceed $10,000, according to a BPD news release.

Anyone who sees a suspected drunken driver is asked to call 911.
