BPD: 13-year-old arrested in connection to threats made against Tevis Junior High

A 13-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of issuing threats on social media against Tevis Junior High School faculty and students, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The teen attends Tevis Junior High, the BPD stated in a news release. Threats made on social media are against California law, even if the investigation revealed the arrestee had no means or intent to actually commit the threat, the BPD added.
