The Bakersfield Police Department reported a motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Bakersfield.Â
A motorcycle appears to have struck a curb in the 4300 block of Riverlakes Drive around 6:04 a.m., resulting in the motorcyclist sustaining fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and it's not known whether drugs and alcohol were a factor, according to a BPD news release. Â
The motorcyclist's identity has not yet been released.
