These blue lightbulbs are available at the Kern County Bridal Association for a donation of $6, which goes to a scholarship fund in Officer David Nelson's memory.

Having swiftly sold out of blue light bulbs for buyers to use as their porch lights July 12 in the Lights on For Officer David Nelson event, The Kern County Bridal Association has ordered more, which should arrive Monday.

The Association’s Executive Director Kyle Brown said 240 have been ordered, and about 90 of those are still not yet spoken for.

Brown said he'll post on the Association's website, KernCountyBridalAssociation.com, and its Facebook account, facebook.com/bakersfieldweddings, when the light bulbs arrive.

They’re available for a suggested donation of $6, which will be passed on to the memorial scholarship set up in Nelson’s name at the Bakersfield City Employee Federal Credit Union.

The fundraiser began as a collaboration between Lighting In Style and the Association.
