The Kern County coroner’s office identified a 55-year-old man who died from a violent assault Saturday in Bakersfield.
Everado Lozano died in the 800 block of Stable Avenue at 7:58 p.m. It’s unclear how he died — a Kern County Sheriff spokeswoman wrote simply the homicide case is still active. Deputies were called to the scene for reports of a violent assault, a previous news release said.
