The historic Southern Pacific rail station at Baker and Sumner in Old Town Kern is getting a new owner: the city of Bakersfield. The city will take over as soon as the Union Pacific, which now owns and operates the station, moves into a new, modern facility a half-mile east. Construction of the new facility, at Sumner and Gage, just got started; the foundation hasn't yet been poured.

witch city councilman will profit from this new bar and restaurant location ,

There has been other redevelopment in the area including the repurposing of historic buildings, one right on Baker St. The Cornet 5 & Dime department store building has been saved but there is no evidence anyone on Council made money on this venture. The Security and Trust bank building on Chester, following its discovery as a complete burn-out hiding behind a particularly ugly facade has also been repurposed as a soon to open restaurant. Is there any evidence anyone on council made a "profit" on these preservation ventures?

Yea, I didn't think so.
