In the latest installment of his Where We Live series, The Californian's Robert Price looks at Haggin Oaks, perhaps the first upscale neighborhood built in Bakersfield after 1980. Haggin Oaks was once at the southwestern edge of the city, but 25 years later, it's prime real estate near The Marketplace, Bakersfield's classiest shopping center, and CSU Bakersfield.
