The Bakersfield Police Department partnered with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office to deliver 500 food baskets to families in need on Thursday and The Californian was there. Deputies and officers handed out the boxes, which each included a turkey, potatoes, beans, fruit, canned goods and more. Money and food was donated by business owners around the county.
