In a weekend packed with high-octane excitement, the Famoso Dragstrip was alive with the roar of 200 cars, as competitors vied for supremacy across six classes. We saw everything from nail-biting finishes to exceptional performances, with four classes commanding particular attention.

MOTORCYCLE CLASS

The Motorcycle Class kicked off the weekend's racing with David Ochoa taking the win against Terry Turner. Ochoa's superior reaction time made the difference, securing his victory. The remaining two races of the weekend saw Paul Silvas in a head-to-head battle with Clayton Howey, with Silvas emerging victorious on both occasions.

SPORTSMAN CLASS

In the Sportsman Class, Tim Arnswald made his mark, defeating Sacha Hoefer and Brittany Van Horn in the first two races. Despite his stellar performance, Arnswald couldn't clinch the third race, which saw Hoefer bounce back and secure victory against Brenda Cox. Despite this weekend's outcomes, Hoefer and Van Horn remain at the top of the series points leaderboard. Pro Class

Over in the Pro Class, Bill Batey was a consistent front-runner, making it to the finals in the first two races. He encountered stiff competition from Porterville's Jim Hulse, who took the first race, but managed to secure a win against Dean Kirkman in the second. Sunday's third race saw Louis Blake come out on top, besting Tim Arnswald.

SUPER PRO CLASS

The Super Pro Class saw a standout performance from Bakersfield's own Krista Suydam, who ended up as runner-up in all three races. Despite her tenacity, the victories went to CW Hoefer, Greg Dreher, and Bruno Casella in their respective races. Suydam's consistent strong performances, however, have put her at the top of the points chase.

As the rubber burned and the dust settled at Famoso, the weekend's races provided a thrilling spectacle. With the series points chase heating up and competitors ready to lay it all on the line, we can't wait to see what the next race has in store.

As the calendar turns to June 10 & 11, we'll be keeping a close eye on the American Nostalgia Racing Association (ANRA) races at Famoso Dragstrip.
