The Kern High School District restarted its back-to-school meal distributions on Friday in preparation for the return of school next week. Breakfasts, lunches and dinners for Monday and Tuesday will be provided to students at school sites on Fridays. On Tuesdays, the sites will serve meals to students for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The Kern High School District and Bakersfield City School District will begin the 2020-21 academic year this Monday in a distance-learning format.

Looks like "Sonic" with their carhops. So, these individuals can afford to drive up to get their free food but can't afford to purchase food. Makes sense to me.

If you can drive up in your luxury SUV, why can't you afford your own food? Always seems folks have money for smokes and booze, why not food?
