The Independence High School Energy and Utilities Career Academy hosted 174 Lakeside School eighth-grade students Thursday for an Energy Science and Career Fair. Lakeside students rotated through three energy-related activities — an energy carnival in the Independence gymnasium, a hands-on teaching experience conducted by IHS juniors and a career day in the cafeteria hosted by IHS seniors.
