PHOTO GALLERY: The lights go up at CALM

HolidayLights at the California Living Museum is returning Nov. 27 for its 19th year as a drive-thru, as was the case last year, but with a new layout, an extended light tunnel and several new displays.

Designed by Josh Barnett’s Lightasmic!, the show will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly except on Christmas Day through Jan. 1. Tickets cost $30 per vehicle in advance through Vallitix at www.calmzoo.org. Otherwise, the price is $40 at the gate.

Named by USA Today as one of the nation's top-10 light shows, HolidayLights is CALM’s largest fundraiser. It supports animal care and wildlife rehabilitation work at CALM.

The display features more than 3 million LED lights. The displays in CALM’s parking lot weave through distinct areas, including the CALM Cove, Mariachis, Congo Safari and Dinosaur Exploration. About 25 volunteers are on hand every night it operates.
