On July 28, 2018, Tehachapi resident Jennie Haberlander teamed up with Marley’s Mutts and orchestrated a fundraiser at Motor City in Bakersfield to help equip unprotected members of the Kern County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit with ballistic vests. The vests were modeled for Haberlander and the Mutt Militia on Friday.
