Country icon Clint Black bringing the Mrs. for Dec. 17 tour stop at Fox Theater

Clint Black and his wife, Lisa Hartman Black, will perform Dec. 17 at the Fox Theater as part of the Mostly Hits and the Mrs. Tour.

Country music fans may find themselves "Killin' Time" this week as they wait for tickets to go on sale for the recently announced Clint Black show at the Fox Theater.

On Dec. 17, the Grammy award-winning country music star will bring his Mostly Hits and the Mrs. Tour to town, performing with Lisa Hartman Black, his wife of nearly 30 years.

Black's career has run about as long as his marriage, kicking off with his debut album, "Killin' Time," in 1989. Since then, the country music icon has amassed 22 No. 1 career singles, nearly two dozen gold and platinum awards (in the U.S. and Canada), a Grammy and numerous CMA, ACM and American Music Awards.

Black continues to defy being stuck in a standard country mold with his latest album, "Out of Sane."

Doors open at 7 p.m. with the show at 8 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Fox, 2001 H St.

Tickets, starting at $49.50 (plus fees), go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday. Fans can get in on the presale at 10 a.m. Thursday using the code "cowboy."
