Kevin Hart Fox Theater

Comedian Kevin Hart will perform in two back-to-back shows at the Fox Theater on Sunday. Both will be cell phone-free events, meaning attendees will have to put their smartphones in a locked pouch during the performance.

Even for a last-minute town like Bakersfield, Kevin Hart was challenging us. On Tuesday, he announced he would be performing at the Fox Theater on Sunday.

As expected, that 7 p.m. show sold out within hours. Luckily for fans of the comedian, he is offering a second show at 10 p.m.

Note that these performances require all attendees to show proof of vaccination or have a preentry negative test result.

These will also be cellphone-free events. Audience members must agree to place their phone in a locked pouch that they keep throughout the evening. Those who need to use their phone have to return to the distribution tent at the entrance to unlock the pouch.

Anyone caught using a cellphone during either show will be immediately ejected.

Doors open at 9 p.m., show is at 10 p.m. Sunday at the theater, 2001 H St.

Tickets, ranging from $55 to $75, are on sale now and can be purchased at, by phone 661-324-1369, or at the box office, which is open from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. weekdays.
