The John Hollins Band, shown here at the CSUB Spring BBQ, have postponed their Marketplace concert set for tonight. The band will perform on Sept. 6.

Tonight is not the night to rock. In the midst of a heat advisory and air quality alert, organizers of the Concerts by the Fountain at The Marketplace have postponed tonight's show with The John Hollins Band.

The versatile group will now perform from 7-9 p.m. Sept. 6 at the southwest shopping center.

This is the second show in the summer series to be postponed due to heat concerns. Warfield, originally slated to play July 12, had its show pushed back to Sept. 13.

There are five other shows planned for Thursdays in August: Mr. Trimble and Unique Soul (Aug. 2), Lonely Avenue (Aug. 9), Chesterfield King (Aug. 16), Blonde Faith (Aug. 23) and Mento Buru (Aug. 30).
