McNuggets

Uber Eats is delivering free 10-piece orders of Chicken McNuggets from area McDonald's Wednesday as part of a promotion. Customers need only pay the booking fee to redeem the offer.

Diners wishing Santa would deliver a fast-food treat can turn to his helper elf Uber Eats on Wednesday.

From 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the food delivery service will dole out free orders of 10-piece Chicken McNuggets from Bakersfield McDonald’s locations while supplies last.

The catch is that the customer pays the cost of the booking fee, around $6, which is close to the price of the chicken. But the order of McNuggets, with two dipping sauces of their choice, can be added to an existing order for free.

The deal is good for new and existing customers of the Uber Eats app, delivered from nearly 20 participating McDonald’s restaurants throughout the Bakersfield area.

“We are thrilled to close out the year with a Chicken McNuggets treat on Uber Eats just in time for the holidays," Uber Eats spokesperson Stephanie Sedlak said in a news release. "With Uber Eats, McDonald’s fans have been enjoying some of their favorites all around town — whether it is at home or on campus — and we can’t wait to see where they take us next.”

Uber Eats launched in Bakersfield in mid-November and has continued to add dining and beverage options, including recent additions Goose Loonies and Cloud 9 Coffee Co., to its lineup.
