For the fifth year, Blaze Pizza is celebrating Pi Day (3/14) with a discount deal. On Wednesday, diners can build their own pie for just $3.14, in honor of the mathematical constant of the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter.
There are three Blaze locations in town: 3900 California Ave., 3111 Ming Ave #460 (at Valley Plaza Mall) and 310 Coffee Road.
Along with Blaze, other local restaurants are enjoying a slice of the "pi."
Happy Jack's Pie n' Burger (1800 20th St.): Free slice of pie with purchase of entree for dine-in guests.
Coco’s Bakery Restaurant (7985 Rosedale Highway): Free slice of pie with any entree for dine-in guests. Take a whole pie to go for $9.99; no valid on pecan or double chocolate silk.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse (10750 Stockdale Highway): Receive a mini one-topping pizza for $3.14 (tax and gratuity not included). Offer only good for dine-in orders and cannot be combined with any other deals.
Marie Callender's (3801 California Ave. and 2631 Oswell St.): The chain is offering a free slice of pie with the purchase of a full-price adult entree using a coupon on the Marie Callender's website. The deal is not valid with kids eat free, crave and save menu, happy hour menu, daily dish specials, lunch combos or pair and share menu. March's special pies — celebration cake pie or lemon meringue — are also available for $9.79 each (including tin).
Papa Murphy’s (Multiple locations): Large thin crust one-topping pizza for $3.14. Deal only good for online orders.
Pizza Hut (Multiple locations): Get a large two-topping pizza for $7.99, or two medium two-topping pizzas for $5.99 each. These deals are good for online orders only.
