Cirque du Soleil is back with another cool show, as in literally cool since its it's on ice. "Axel" will skate into Mechanics Bank (formerly Rabobank) Arena March 12 to 15.

Audiences find themselves in the hand-drawn universe of the titular character who is a young graphic artist and musician. He falls in love with Lei and they find themselves on a fast-moving quest to retrieve the stolen light from the supervillain Vï.

This new production features spectacular skating, acrobatics on ice, astonishing visual effects, and an upbeat original soundtrack, according to a news release.

Performances are 7:30 p.m. March 12 and 13, 4 and 7:30 p.m. March 14 and 1:30 p.m. March 15 at Mechanics Bank Arena, 1001 Truxtun Ave.

Tickets range from $35-$120 for adults and $25-$84 for children and are available now at cirquedusoleil.com/axel.
