The Rainbow Family of Living Light, part of the Family of Living Light founded in 1972 in the United States, is gathering for the holidays in the Sequoia National Forest outside Kernville. Items shared freely at the weeks-long gathering include food, water and medicine. Rainbow kitchens sometimes perform grass-roots disaster relief functions, as well as site-restoration work and reseeding efforts. Among many opportunities to pray for peace, the Rainbow Family plans to celebrate what it calls Black Sheep Xmas.
