On Saturday, June 16, Delano High School football traveled to Fresno to compete in the annual Fresno State Battle in the Valley passing camp.

The competition featured teams from all over the valley, such as Liberty (Bakersfield), Highland and Central Fresno. Delano football took about 25 players to the competition along with about seven coaches.

The team experienced both victories and losses, finishing 2-2 after beating Roosevelt (Fresno) and North High School (Bakersfield). They would fall short to Modesto and would ultimately be eliminated from bracket play after a slim one-touchdown loss to Highland.

On Friday, June 22, Delano High attended the Atascadero High School passing and linemen competition. The team had a whole day of football activities, and players and coaches planned to spend the night camping on the beach.
