NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR THE PURCHASE, LEASE, OR EXCHANGE OF SURPLUS SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the following persons and entities, in order of statutory priority, that the Sierra Sands Unified School District ("District") is soliciting offers for the purchase, lease, or exchange of approximately 5.8 acres of improved parcels located at 27804 Comstock Avenue, Johannesburg, CA (Kern County Assessor Parcel Nos. 155-285-01, 155-313-01 and 155-314-01). Specifically, proposals are sought by: (1) All public districts, public authorities, public agencies, public corporations, political subdivisions of the State of California, the United States Government, and nonprofit charitable and nonprofit public benefit corporations, who will have a period of 60 days following the final publication of this notice, or until December 31, 2020, to notify the school district of its intent to acquire the property; and (2) In the event the District does not reach an argument with the above-mentioned entities within the applicable statutory time frames, the District shall consider the sale, lease, or exchange of the property to the public-at-large based on proposals received at or above the minimum price established by the District. It is anticipated that proposals will be received by 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2021, and all proposals shall comply with the requirements of District Resolution No. #11 2021, adopted on October 15, 2020, therein, including, but not limited to, a minimum purchase price of $36,000.00 (thirty-six thousand). Public agencies and non-profits in the first group may submit proposals to Mr. Joel Kirschenstein in order to commence negotiations with the District. For all others, information, instructions, and deadlines on submitting proposals are set forth in a RFP, which are available upon request to the District Consultant.
