Two recent CSUB graduates from the women’s basketball program have signed contracts to continue their playing careers professionally. Former Roadrunners Erika Williams and Batabe Zempare inked deals this summer to play in Iceland and Italy, respectively.

Williams, who completed her career at CSUB last year, signed for the upcoming season with UMF Njardvik in Iceland.

Zempare was part of the 2016 class of Runners and enjoyed a prolific CSUB career. During her time as a Runner, Zempare became just the seventh active student-athlete in NCAA Divison I women’s basketball to tally 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in her career. In June, Zempare joined Vigarano from Italy’s top league, Serie A1.
