Three of the four Central Section champions in boys and girls soccer from Kern County received home games in the opening round of the SoCal regional playoffs.

Independence girls won the program’s first section title in D-III and are the 4-seed and will host No. 5 Corona-Centennial on Tuesday in the D-III regional opener. 

Games are scheduled for 4 p.m. 

On the boys side, Mira Monte, which won the school’s first section title in any sport in D-IV, received a 3-seed in the SoCal D-IV regional bracket and will host No. 6 Hesperia.

Chavez repeated as the section D-V champions and are the 4-seed and will host No. 5 Orange Cove, the Central Section D-VI champions.

Rosamond, the D-VI section champions on the girls side, are the 6-seed in D-V regional and are at No. 3 Fillmore.
