Daniel Miernicki is atop the leaderboard entering the third and final day of the 2018 Bakersfield Open.

After finishing four shots off the pace following Wednesday’s opening round, Miernicki fired a tournament-best score of 65 on Thursday at Bakersfield Country Club.

Miernicki’s two-day score of 12-under 132 puts him three shots ahead of Bakersfield native Manav Shah, who recorded a 4-under 68 on Thursday.

While Shah currently holds a 9-under 135 for the tournament, he’s followed by Jake Sarnoff and Cody Blick who each stand at 136 entering Friday’s final round.

Friday’s round is scheduled to get underway at 8 a.m. Miernicki and Shah are the final pairing, which is set to tee off at 9:20.

Final round play is open to the public.
