NASCAR star Kyle Busch will be returning to Bakersfield for his second straight appearance in the SRL Winter Showdown at Kern County Raceway Park.

Busch, who finished third in last year’s race, told Speed51.com on Thursday that he has entered the fourth annual event set for Feb. 1-3.

“I’m looking forward to going back to the Winter Showdown and trying to add another marquee win to not only my personal bucket list, but also to the list of big wins for the Kyle Busch Motorsports Super Late Model program,” Busch said.

Bubba Pollard of Senoia , Ga. won the first two Winter Showdowns with Derek Thorn of Bakersfield taking the win this year.

The race pays $30,000 to win.

Busch, as he did last year, will be holding a “Rowdy Roundup Meet and Greet” for a limited number of fans prior to the race.

Tickets for the race as well and the meet and greet go on sale Friday at Kernraceway.com
