Cal State Bakersfield women’s swimmer Jayssie Haynes’ impressive sophomore year continued with two record-breaking performances at CSUB on Saturday. Haynes swam the fastest 1,000-yard and 1,650-yard freestyle swims in school history to help CSUB to a 215-77 win over UC Santa Cruz.

Haynes finished the 1,650-yard race in 16:48.91.

“Jayssie's year has been one that everyone should learn from," CSUB coach Chris Hansen said to GoRunners.com.

On the men’s side, CSUB won as well. Noah Hultner won the 1,650-yard freestyle race. Loren Gillilan won the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard fly. The Roadrunners won the 400-yard medley relay.
