The Edmonton Oilers traded Condors goaltender Eddie Pasquale to the Tampa Bay Lighting for future considerations on Wednesday. The Condors also acquired goaltender Nic Riopel and right wing Ty Loney from Syracuse for future considerations.

Syracuse is Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate.

Pasquale was 6-5-4-0 with a 2.60 goals-against average and .910 save percentage for the Condors. The trading of Pasquale opens up an NHL contract (he was on a two-way deal) for the Oilers.

Goaltender Nick Ellis, who was just sent down to Wichita in the ECHL on Jan. 25, is expected to be recalled to the Condors.

Loney, 25, has 34 points in 22 games with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL and is pointless in eight games with Syracuse. He was a teammate of Bakersfield’s Joey LaLeggia at the University of Denver.

Riopel, 28, was 9-9-0 with a 3.28 goals against average and .987 save percentage with Adirondack.

The Condors host Iowa on Friday night at Rabobank Arena.
