Brian Dignan


Brian Dignan has been selected as the new athletics director at Garces High School.

Dignan will assume his new role on Jan. 30 and will continue in his current role as teacher and head boys basketball coach. He replaces Joan Finch, who recently retired.

Dignan has 19 years of teaching and coaching experience as well as four years competing at the college basketball level at Brigham Young.

Now in his fourth year as the basketball coach at Garces, Dignan took over the program after two years as the head coach at Bakersfield Christian.

Dignan also had coaching stints as an assistant coach at Cal State Bakersfield and for the former Bakersfield Jam.
